David, Steven, Adam and Steven’s mom Pat came to Legoland for Adam’s birthday. I met them and had so much fun!! I have more pictures to follow, but I was amazed at how cool the park was. There is not a ton for adults to do, but the legos are amazing! I wish Tim and my brother had been there!
The first weekend in May was so busy! On Saturday night we had a chance to catch up with some friends. We were the first people at the restaurant and the last ones to leave!
The next night, we went to a concert of Danny Elfman music. The picture next to the posting is of Tim, Justin, Jon and Al. We had a large group of people who went. After the concert, there was a champagne reception.
And on Monday, we went to a Dodger’s game! We had excellent seats and it was a gorgeous night! The Dodger’s won over the Giants 9 to 1!
Tim has been really sick! I feel bad for him. I’ve taken plenty of walks so he can sleep in and I’m not making noise around our place!
On Sunday, it was so gorgeous, I took a shot of this rose. I think next weekend I will take my camera out and about in the neighborhood to take pictures of all the blooming flowers.
We had a nice Easter brunch with Jon and Al and a writer for the magazine and his wife. They are in CA for his graduate school.
I made the famous John Wayne Casserole, which was a hit! The last time I made it Monique had to help me fix it – I put it in the wrong kind of baking dish. Tim spotted me trying to use the wrong dish and fixed it last minute!
We tossed around a bunch of ideas to celebrate Tim’s birthday, but settled on a night at the famous Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. We went there in Feb for our friend Annelisse’s birthday. I got a great rate. It’s a gorgeous property! I think we both regretted not staying another night. This is a restaurant called 25. We went for Happy Hour – see the onion rings below! We went to see Jimmy Kimmel tape his show and then spent the rest of the evening hanging out at the hotel. The interior of the pool was painted by David Hockney. The hotel hosted the first Academy Awards and was the meeting place for Carole Lombard and Clark Gable!
Some of the best onion rings we’ve ever had! We went to Happy Hour at “25″ at the Roosevelt Hotel. From there, we went to see Jimmy Kimmel – which was not nearly as much fun as I thought it would be! But, it was a fun experience!
