Stealing from Joe and Monique
Joe took this photo when we went to the Medieval Times. I really like it and had to share!

Yesterday, Joe, Monique and Brenna stopped by to have brunch. We tried to get together before Christmas, but it didn’t work out. We had a really nice time. We have not hung out with Brenna for a long time. Usually we see her in passing as we go out, but we got a good couple of hours with her. She is so adorable and sweet! Monique’s birthday is not until next week, but we got a birthday cake for her. It was a really fun, relaxing day!
I am so excited! We are going to see Prokofiev’s Cinderella ballet performed by the Joffrey Ballet Company tonight. I got an amazing deal on seats. I also got us reservations at this cute place near the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for dinner. I love the ballet more than almost anything live. I can’t wait. Tim is a big fan of Prokofiev so it was not hard to sell a ballet night to him!
After all the storms that we had, it finally cleared up yesterday. All day, we had amazing rainbows, but this one was the best. You could see it end to end! My iPhone didn’t do it justice!
I found a few photos on my phone that I decided to upload. We took this when we flew to Portland at Christmas.
I hope everyone had a great New Year! I’m not sure what 2010 holds, but I’m glad to see 2009 and that whole decade end! Did we seriously have George W. Bush as a president for two terms or was that a bad dream?
Anyway, on a positive note, we were lucky to have a visit from Tim’s friend Chris Wilson this weekend. His Ducks did not win, but we had a lot of fun anyway! He rented a Mustang for his visit so I had to take a few pictures.
Oh and we rang in the New Year watching “Team America”! It doesn’t get much better than that!
We left for Oregon on Thursday. We boarded our plane and just before take off, the police and TSA showed up! Apparently, there was a security breach and they were looking for a man. They announced that they were searching the planes and if they did not find him, we would all have to get off the plane, go through security and re-board! Luckily, they found him or lord knows when we would have landed!!!
We had lunch with my parents Christmas Eve day and went to Tim’s parents annual Christmas Eve party that night. I think they had close to 30 people there and it was the best one I’ve been to! It was nice to catch up.
Christmas morning was at Tim’s parents house and Christmas night we went with my parents and brother to the Hilton in downtown Vancouver. Can you tell why I rent a car?
I also had a chance to see my dear friend Elizabeth! She is such an amazing person. I wish I’d had more time.
Rich and I went downtown for a few hours and man it was cold! I realize I’ve lived in CA for a while. I can’t tell you how many times Rich and I talked about the cold.
Can 2010 really be around the corner? I used to think it was so far away. Tim’s friend Chris will be staying with us and I’m looking forward to spending New Year’s Eve with him!
I hope everyone had a good Christmas! I have to say, it was unusually stressful for me the week before Christmas. I hope it calms down a bit!
Tim and I traveled to Oregon and Washington for Christmas. We had a great time! But it was so cold! I took this picture as we left with my brother and parents for dinner in Vancouver. It’s a branch of a maple tree above their house and the moon peaking through.
My friend Judy is an amazing baker! This box of cookies arrived yesterday. If Tim hears she is baking, he appears at her window “just to check in”! It’s pretty funny. She made a soft ginger snap that was to die for!
